GPS walk with short films
Oeteldonk: walking with De Peer
Walk with De Peer through Oeteldonk and discover how the city becomes a world of its own during carnival. Along the way, short films open at places where stories, customs and familiar Oeteldonk characters come to life: from the Gemintemuzejum and St John's Cathedral to the Market Square, Knillis and Hotel Central. This walk is for locals who want to understand Oeteldonk better and for visitors who want to see more than the party alone.
From city to Oeteldonk
During carnival, 's-Hertogenbosch becomes Oeteldonk. The city takes on its own names, colours, symbols and leading characters. Behind the cheerful surface is a long history of societies, rituals, familiar places and local humour.
This route follows De Peer past places that belong to that story. You visit the Oeteldonks Gemintemuzejum, St John's Cathedral, the Parade, the Amadeirohuis, the station, City Hall and Hotel Central. At every stop, a short film shows why that place carries a piece of Oeteldonk history.

Tips along the way
The route works on your phone. Allow location access and take your time at each point. The films are short, but deserve a moment of attention. You do not have to walk the route strictly in order; you can join, pause and continue later.
The stories work best with clear sound.
This helps you follow the films calmly, even in busier places.
Preferably watch the films horizontally. The image is larger and calmer.
Stand still during videos and stay alert to traffic and other walkers.
